Your job

As a Business Consultant – Steering & Expertise, you are part of a specialist team focusing on risk management and compliance of CDS. You do this in combination with providing progress reports and portfolio-level decision-making for the CDS management team, advising on prioritization.

  • You support the (further) development, effectiveness, and quality of services, monitoring of risk and audit issues, and requirements from external parties such as regulators.
  • You support the Domain Expert Steering with processing, analyzing, and reporting information. You help translate complex topics into understandable and insightful presentations for stakeholders. You observe and substantiate yourself. These topics relate to CDS projects and project portfolios.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the Domain Expert Steering with processing, analyzing, and reporting information.
  • Collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting qualitative information and quantitative data.
  • Supporting and advising the head of CDS from your expertise regarding progress reports and portfolio-level decision-making.
  • Creating (progress) presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Translating the CDS strategy into concrete objectives for the Steering & Expertise team.

Working environment

CDS is the product unit that is end-to-end responsible for generic customer processes and all customer and relationship data (Customer and Party data). CDS is ABN AMRO’s “one-stop-shop” for reliable and high-quality customer and party data. This data is made available to all authorized internal stakeholders and external parties via so-called data products. CDS consists of 4 departments: CDS Data Office, Customer Generic Processes, CDS Grid, and Steering & Expertise.

The team

The Steering & Expertise team provides support and expertise in the areas of legislation and portfolio management. Activities within Steering & Expertise include:

  • Drafting and maintaining the objectives & key results of CDS, in close cooperation with the CDS management team.
  • Providing steering and portfolio management of CDS.
  • Creating Data, Process, Organization, and Technology (DPOT) requirements.
  • Conducting impact analyses for (new/complex) data requests from the legislature.
  • Creating overview, supervision, and alignment between policies and standards.
  • Drafting and monitoring the CDS roadmap and projects and facilitating the prioritization process.

Your profile

As a Business Consultant Steering & Expertise, you are communicatively strong. You can easily communicate with many different types of people, collaborate well, take ownership, and enjoy working with a broad stakeholder field. You can rely on your expertise, and where possible, you provide appropriate support.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • You have HBO/WO thinking level.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • You are entrepreneurial, take initiative, and know how to convey the vision.
  • You have good communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • You have knowledge of customer data and customer processes.
  • You have knowledge of data management, legislation and regulations, and/or portfolio management.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Microsoft PowerBI knowledge is a plus.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language.

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary stated at the top of the page is based on a 36-hour workweek, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The benefit budget is 11% of your salary. If you do not make any purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a month, you will receive one-twelfth of your benefit budget for that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase up to four additional weeks per year.
  • Personal Development Budget of €1,000 per year, which you can save up to €3,000.
  • Possibility of working from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your role).
  • An annual public transport subscription with free travel throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
