Your job
As a Business Consultant, you play a pivotal role in the Data Organization of Asset Based Finance (ABF). ABF is transforming its data organization by implementing new data governance and making significant strides in enhancing its data management capabilities. Your focus is on creating oversight, executing, and supporting a wide variety of Data Governance topics (e.g., data policy, data portfolio, and data literacy) to enable ABF in the rollout of its data strategy and maturity in its data-driven ambitions!
Your responsibilities:
- Support and execution of data management projects
- Create Insight & Oversight by timely reporting of data management deliverables, policy adherence gaps and regulatory findings in the field of data, and ensure that those who are responsible are held accountable
- Enable the data (product) teams of ABF to perform BAU by facilitating policy reviews and preparing and organizing efficient meetings
- Improve data awareness and involvement within ABF by facilitating knowledge shares, creating learning materials, publications, information meetings and all other relevant forms of communication
- Identify potential improvements in the data organization of ABF
Working environment
The Data Oversight & Support department is a new department within CIOO Data Office of Asset Based Finance and consist of Business Consultants who are responsible for advising and monitoring end-to-end data management (incl. data compliance) and supporting ABF in a wide variety of data related topics. All consultants have their own expertise and focus. Because this is a new team there is plenty of room for your own initiatives. The Data Oversight & Support department is diverse with regards to culture, experience, and age.

The atmosphere is lively and informal, closely monitoring a safe environment where everyone can share their thoughts, feelings and worries. The Data Oversight & Support department is in constant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as the other Data Office teams and Data Product teams but also teams within ABN AMRO bank.
Your profile
You are an enthusiastic individual and strong communicator who understands the importance of data. You are the business consultant who has the helicopter view and the expertise (or eager to learn) on a broad variety of data management topics. In addition you bring:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration or data management)
- You have a minimum of 2-5 year relevant experience (e.g. as a (junior/medior) consultant)
- You have knowledge of or are eager to learn more about Data Management (e.g. DAMA DMBoK) and Data Regulation (e.g. GDPR, BCBS239)
- You have strong communication skills
- Practical consulting skills like working with Excel and PowerPoint comes natural to you
- Understanding project and change management best practices is a strong plus
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), Dutch is a bonus but not needed
We offer
- An excellent gross monthly salary (salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget)
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in each month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- A work environment with plenty of room for own initiatives
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
